(NOTE: since two of our four hosts were out the evening of this meeting, there are no meeting notes. What follows is the original invite; the content of the meeting closely followed this outline.)
Preliminary Lineup: year-end tax planning / Maxon BodyPaint 3D / VCE / Pittard Sullivan / demo reels
* left brain*
That unannounced product update we were talking about delayed their release schedule to after our meeting, unfortunately. More details in January.
We plan to bring back Mark Varshawsky, the accountant who spoke at our Running Your Own Business meeting two years ago, to go over important year-end tax planning tips. Mark is the business accountant for three of your hosts, so you can tell we hold him in high regard.
Maxon will also be showing their new 3D texture map painting application, BodyPaint 3D. Note that this program works with a number of 3D applications, not just Maxon's own Cinema 4D. Maxon is also giving away a couple of copies of BodyPaint at the meeting.

Steven Dudeck, Senior After Effects Artist at Pittard Sullivan, will break down his Kabel 1 network branding project which was done totally in AE.
Peter Kuran of VCE was an animator on the original Star Wars, and since then has worked on over 200 films, plus produced four documentaries.
* demo reels *
We promise we will leave time this month to show demo reels and projects from members and those who attend. Format is BetaSP or VHS; please keep to 3 minutes or under in length. Be prepared to tell us a little about what we will be seeing, and leave behind a copy of your contact information so we can include it in the meeting summary.
* door prizes *
We already know a few of the prizes we will be giving
away at the end of the meeting:
- two stock footageCDs from VCE, including The Visual Effects CD and Pyromania Pro
- two copies of Maxon's BodyPaint 3D
- two more still image CDs from Digital Vision's Autograph series
See you there!
